Join us for a practical mentorship session on how to pitch ideas, business plans, or yourself in the arts sector.

A job interview, writing a grant proposal, convincing your boss of a new project, starting your own business – all of these endeavors require the ability to successfully articulate your vision in a cohesive, engaging and most importantly, convincing way - they require mastering ‘the pitch’. Whether you recognize it or not, you find yourself pitching ideas to people around you regularly.

So what is the best way to convey an idea to an investor? How do you verbalize to a prospective employer that you are the best candidate for the position? What pitching tactics get others enthusiastic about your venture?

Join us for a practical mentorship session on how to pitch ideas, business plans, or yourself in the arts sector. You will learn what works and what doesn’t, how to communicate clearly and effectively, while having the opportunity to practice your own pitch in front of experienced industry professionals who will provide personal and expert feedback.

ORGANIZERS: Young Professionals in the Arts (YPA) and Emerging Leaders in New York Arts (ELNYA), hosted by Roger Smith Hotel.
